Artist's Bio

Stacy Mora's creative source surges through her much as the water river flows. She has been saturated with ideas that spark visuals expression for as long as she can remember. Many mediums help her express her inner ideas.   Most active mediums in the paintings you witness at this show are acrylics, pastel, silk paints, silk, canvas, gutta, watercolor, and wire.

Studying with many great artist mentors, taking classes in college, attending private workshops all add to her abilities as an artist.     But, none can inspire Stacy like our local natural places.   The beauty of the Yuba River Canyon is a major inspiration for Stacy's talents generating focus of her natural drive for expression.   The movement of the river water; The stillness of the plentiful boulders; The freedom and confidence offered.

Often working on site, Stacy captures her river canyon ideas/studies with photos, sketching, and painting quick watercolors. While she and her dogs can be found perusing the rocky-sand beaches off the rivers shore, or on a bike ride or hike with her friend/husband breaking to lie on a warm rock; you may believe that she is only at play. But, her mind is always soaking in the enchanting light, the wheel of colors, the gratitude, free spirit and peace that the river conveys...the beauty that she gives to all of us!!!
